First, navigate to the "Accounts" menu, by pressing the button at the bottom left of the screen labeled "Accounts."
If the accounts shown are not Outlook and iPhone, select "Sync Outlook & iPhone Instead"
Step 1: Sign into Outlook
- Sign into your Outlook, and grant the app access to your contacts
Step 2: Select an iPhone Account
- In order for your Outlook categories to be visible on your iPhone, you must sync Outlook with either iCloud or local iPhone contacts.
- Choose from one of the following iPhone account settings:
- Auto (Recommended)
- In this mode, if you have an iCloud account, your iCloud contacts will be synced with Outlook. Otherwise, your local iPhone contacts will be synced with Outlook. Otherwise, in the absence of iCloud and a local account, one of your other accounts will be chosen.
- iCloud/iPhone/Yahoo/CardDAV/Exchange
- Gives you the option of specifying a specific account, such as an iCloud account, a local iPhone account, or an Exchange account
- All
- In this mode, all of your iPhone contact accounts will be synced with Outlook.
- Auto (Recommended)
If you find that some of your iPhone contacts are not appearing in Outlook, simply go to Contacts Sync > Accounts > iPhone Account to Sync, and choose "All." Then sync once again.
